I was reading on www.benmaller.com that lakers will have a 12.4 million dollar trade exception in 2 years.

what does that mean?

It allows teams to acquire players without matching salaries. I'm not exactly clear on how it works exactly, but I don't think the Lakers would be getting that high of a trade exception. Why would they get it?

it was posted on the 20th. oh well.

But if lakers did have a 12.4 mill exception then I dont see why we shouldnt make it very deep into the playoffs in a year or so
