Default Looking for new bball shoes - maybe hyperdunks

ive been in the market for some new bball shoes lately. I just finished rehabbing from a sprained ankle, so I want to get something with decent ankle support. Also I have pretty skinny feet and really high arches, so something with adequate arch support is important.

I've always liked Nike, so yesterday i picked up a pair of hyperizes. they fit my feet pretty well, but last night i noticed they are a little lacking on the arch support. then i remembered reading something about the detroit pistons and hyperize, and looked up the news article that said the pistons had actually banned the shoe because the trainer thought it was causing ankle problems for his players.

So after thinking a little bit and reading that article, I think I am gonna return these hyperizes and pick up something else. I really like the high top hyperdunks, but since they are an old model it seems to be impossible to find them in my size. Does anybody know where I can find a decent selection of hyperdunks? or can anybody suggest a different shoe to me that might work for my needs? thanks

Well, I know some people would figure out that I'm an Adidas head right now, but everything I'm saying isn't meant to be homer for them or anything.

Now that that's out of the way, I have to say that I've seen quite a number of local players rolling their ankles in the Hyperdunks, so if you want ankle support, well, I suggest you get something else. Also, if you want more arch support, maybe you should have a custom made one. It's pretty expensive though, but it helps a lot.

Playing in the Zoom Kobe V at the moment. You might me scared due to them being lows but the ankle support is just as good if not better then any high in my opinion.

I haven't played in the Kobe 5's, but from the things I've heard of it, it's a better buy than the Hyperdunks. It is a bit pricey though.

That was about the hyperizes. I've played in both the Hyperize and the ZKV and have to say that the ZKV's feel much more secure around the ankle than the hyperizes.

And seeing as the hyperizes are a direct descendant of the hyperdunks I would feel it's the same.

If you're kinda on a tight budget, I've heard the KD2 is an amazing shoe. Even Amare exchanged his Hyperizes for them

They also got an A+ in SoleCollector. That's saying a lot.

i got the hyperdunk lows and they are awesome. i don't like the feeling of high tops and they literally have increased my vert. i'd strongly recommend them, they are very comfortable and look pretty cool too.
