The guy just doesn't get the recognition he deserves. Pretty much every team I remember him going to improved quite a large amount. Nets from twenty something to forty something Bucks from twenty something to forty something Helped KG get out of the first round for the first time, and at a very advanced age turned the clippers from terrible to taking a good phoenix team to 7 games in the 2nd round.
I'm not saying hes a top 10 PG, but hes definitely a great player and had a huge impact on his teams.
sam was pretty much the epitome of what a good PG is. i think he gets overlooked because he relied more on his mind than on his legs. it's no coincidence that winning seemed to follow him wherever he went.
