I told this exact same thing to a buddy of mine when they mentioned Crawford being an IU transfer.

For some dumb reason, on IC (UNC message board) someone started a thread about who would be our next HC after Roy. I thought it was dumb since Roy is probably 10 years away from retiring, but nonetheless the thread was there, and grew to be several pages long. And Jay Wright seemed to be the consensus favorite among fans. Which is a little surprising since it's common knowledge that UNC will probably always keep the coaching job within the UNC family as long as Dean Smith is stationed in the basement of his namesake arena.

Unfortunately for UNC and their fans, the second generation of UNC coaches aren't fairing nearly as well as the 1st generation.

So you're saying Jeff Capel's the favorite? I kid, I kid.

I would imagine that Wright's name would come up in lots of "who would we like to have as our next coach" discussions, whether it's a realistic shot or not. Guy's done a hell of a job at a crappy school to try and recruit to.

But you're right, UNC tends to keep things pretty incestuous. Would expect more of the same in the future.

I have no idea who we would get after Roy if we kept it in the family. Doh has already has his shot, and while he proved he could recruit, couldn't get along with his players. And Lebo hasn't exactly lit the world on fire as a HC.

Ha. I would love for Jay Wright to be the successor to Williams.

Cornell is shooting 68% and Temple is still only down 8 at half. They are in a pretty good spot considering how well Cornell has been shooting. They need to get some stops on defense and get better looks on offense. Brooks is great but he takes some pretty stupid shots.

Hmmm... Don't like the sounds of it. Cornell is a veteran, very good shooting team. Worried that Temple might have trouble keeping up. They need to close that gap in a hurry; Cornell won't shoot itself in the foot late in the game. Smart, disciplined.

Stayed away from this potential upset just because so many people were talking about it.

Yeah they are smart and disciplined but it isn't likely they shoot 68% the rest of the way. Temple jjust needs to play solid defense and chip away at the lead. It's a very winable game at this point.

That's what I'm hanging onto.
