We can go deeper.
Danny Ferry came in with all the hype as the next great thing and was going to lead Cleveland to a championship, he wound up often injured, and rode the bench in S.A. to a title.
Christian Leattner (sp?) Was the new golden boy, even got selected to the Dream Team (over Zeke & Shaq), go to the league and fizzled quick.
Grant Hill Was probably the best player Duke ever produced, he got injured and was never the same, all the potential he had was wasted, he's playing well in Phoenix, but he is 36 years old and is going to be retiring soon and hasn't led any team to the promised land.
Bobby Hurley Injured himself in a crash soon after being drafted by Sacremento, played a couple of seasons and was gone.
Cherokee parks Played briefly and was never heard from again.
Antonio Lang Played briefly and was never heard from again.
Jeff Caple Did he even make it to the league?
Trajon Langdon (sp?) Played briefly and was never heard from again.
Shane Battier Only solid player that is contributing to a team and hasn't been injured much of his career.
J. J. Reddick Can't even get off the bench in Orlando and when he does get in, he usually stinks up the joint. And they made videos teaching his shooting form. He was the ACC all-time leading scorer, until Tyler Hansbrough passed his last year.
There are a ton more, but I'm not going into all of that.
I'll do you one better though. Name me
ONE Duke player that led his team or was a
MAJOR factor in a team winning a title.
