Nik Stauskas, Doug McDermott confident abilities will transfer to NBA
There’s no greater proof than the Detroit Pistons as to the value of shooting in today’s NBA.
One could argue if the Pistons had adequate shooting this past season, as opposed to their league-worst output, there certainly would be more than 29 wins to their ledger and perhaps the state of affairs wouldn’t be as such, Stan Van Gundy’s new presence notwithstanding.
Enter Nik Stauskas and Doug McDermott, two known commodities in different ways while also being unknowns as far as the NBA.
Their modus operandi is shooting the ball with efficiency from long range, an aspect that is no longer an afterthought, but sought after, coveted and held onto today. Stauskas, an early entrant from Michigan, is perhaps the best shooter in the draft, and he certainly believes so.
