Started learning to play the piano about 3 months ago. Still into fairly basic stuff, like learning the sharp notes, playing in the G position, etc.
I'm very early on as well (though of course, you wrote that in '10). It'd be nice to get official lessons but right now I'm just teaching myself out of a book.
When I get tired of lessons, I treat myself by learning simple songs I like. I'm big on Nine Inch Nails so some of my go-to tracks are "The Frail" and "A Warm Place". I also enjoy playing Warren Ellis and Nick Cave's "What Must Be Done" from The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford soundtrack and "Peer Pressure" from the Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I know, all simple and easy, but I love the tracks themselves, so I like being able to replicate them.
Most recently, I've been trying to learn "Into My Arms" by Nick Cave with the goal of being able to perform it in full.
Question, I own a keyboard I bought off Craigslist but it does not have any pedals. Does anyone have any recommendations as to what type of pedal is worth purchasing and from where, as well as a price range? I'm assuming I could take another look on Craigslist or ebay, but I don't know what I'm looking for or how much I should be willing to pay. I just want to be able to sustain notes.
Been playing since around 7 yrs old. Played in a garage band in high school. Now I play infrequently but I always get called upon during the Holidays when everyone's drunk and wants to hear Rudolf or the Charlie Brown theme.
