He's what I wish Willie Green could do/be. To Willie Greens credit he is a much better defender than Meeks. But thats the tradeoff I'd take to give up the defense for the offense and most importantly a SG who can shoot unlike Willie. I dont expect Meeks to be a starting SG caliber player but a very solid role player who can shoot. Should have been given minutes given this season is pretty much a wrap.

He's going off right now. 21 points on 5-7 from deep, 18 mins. It's weird...the Sixers have a shooting guard on the roster.

The thing I like about Meeks is his ability to work on offense without the ball. He demenstrated this in college too. He works hard to move without the ball and get his shots coming off screens and what not. Its really valuable to have a scorer that doesn't need to dominate the ball to score and he provides some much needed shooting for the squad.

That's something I noticed too. The Princeton offense was supposed to be based off of backdoor cuts and screens, and I never saw it really used until Meeks was doing it with ease the last couple games. He truly is one of our only players who can operate in a half court offense.

I'm looking forward to a starting line-up of:

PG: Holiday
SG: Meeks
SF: Iguodala
PF: (Draft pick?)
C: Dalembert

Playing under a defensive coach I think that could be a pretty nice starting 5 with Lou and Speights coming off the bench Jason Terry style.

I like the way Meeks doesn't give up much on the defensive end and can put some points on the board as well.

This dude is balling like crazy.

He's putting 15.6ppg, 50%fg, and 78.6%ft.

I bet the Bucks wished they had kept him.

He will be a good backup shooting guard for the future. Maybe even a sixth player.
