Ward is 34 and may be playing on borrowed time. Wallace is good, but how good? Sweed looks to be a bust.

They should look to draft a wideout.

Can't blame them for making this trade. The headaches going into training camp would have been too much. Cut the excess baggage and move on. Only a handful of NFL players are truly irreplacable, and Holmes isn't one of them.

They would have beaten the Bengals in week 2 this past season, had Sweed not dropped that easy touchdown.

Yeah I know. He's made mistakes in big situations on multiple occasions.

Word is that if Pitt couldn't get a draft pick for him, that they were ready to just release him. So that makes a lot of sense about how eager they were to get rid of him.

Yeah I heard that too.

It was in large part due to Santo's antics via Twitter. He made a bunch of comments about how he should punch the girl suing him in the face, how he was smoking weed, and telling people he hopes they die.

Basically, he's an immature little child that didn't belong on the team. The Rooney's don't **** around with that nonsense.

I despise pro athletes who act and say things like that. They are fortunate, blessed and have all the God-given talent and opportunities in the world....yet they act like this?

Very frustrating

Yeah, its incerdibly childish. Antonio Cromartie, Santo, and Braylon Edwards should feel right at home together.

The only thing I can think of why the Steelers did this, is Holmes 4 game suspension.

It doesnīt sound like a lot, but in the NFL it is. Thatīs a quarter of the season right there.

GOBBalicious does have a point. WRs just don't seem to have a load of trade value. The Boldin deal was what, him + 5th for 3rd + 4th? Moss for a 4th. Miami got a 2nd for Welker and a lot of people (obviously wrong) thought that was too much when it happened. Throw in all the off field stuff and this is what you get.

I still think it's hilarious that if they lose him the compensatory pick could be higher than a 5th though.

Whats up with the Jets getting all these convicts? They are starting to look like Tennessee football.

I don't think they have any more "convicts" than the league average.

This is my only concern to be honest the resigning of players what I am hoping for is people buying into that contender mentality like the Patriots and people put team first and decent money as a priority

The chemistry stuff i am not worried about. Braylon fell in line. The locker room is strong plus as mentioned Rex us against the world mentality will keep him in line.
