That has nothing to do with it. He's playing hard. He just looks tired.

You must be new to the NBA.

Kobe Bryant is the most legacy-obsessed player in history. He does NOT care about winning as much as he cares about people thinking he's great.

He's trying to make shots that people will remember him by, rather than simply winning a game and sharing the credit with his teammates.

Kobe Bryant is the most overrated player in the history of the NBA.

Basically that the Lakers are making it hard for themselves by not running the offense through their bigs and abusing those mismatches. Instead, Kobe has 16 shots, far too many for him to be shooting for the other assets on the team.

It's pretty spot on.

Kobe should go back to pass first MVP year 15 shots a game Kobe-then we have the best team in the league.

When Kobe plays ball hog ball we struggle vs 8 seeds. WHy doesn't he realize this. Does his ego seriously not allow him to realize he's losing games single handedly for us?

dont think Kobe cares about this game or series...he knows he has to get his shot back for this team to win the title and he is attempting to get it back. I feel he is confident that they will beat the Thunder and is using this as practice

He has to face reality. It's not like people will forget he's the best player on the team or two years removed from MVP. Hell, the dude was playing like an MVP earlier this year before the injury. Realize you're injured, move the ball, play defense, and hope your team is good enough to mask your injury. In the summer, get your surgery, and come back next year refreshed and healthy.

Is Kobe trying to push through his slump, or is he just trying not to get shown up by Durant? Hopefully his ego doesn't get in the way of team success.

Laker fans are ridiculous. "His finger that's why he's 6-16" Even though if he makes those 2 in and out 3's, and maybe another jumper or 2 get some lucky bounces, they'd be riding his dick. He would be 9-16, and they would be saying "Kobe can play through anything! toughest player in the league!"
It is not his finger... he is just not playing well.

No he doesn't. He just is not getting the ball because Kobe is jacking it up everytime he touches it, and without touches Bynum loses interest and doesn't play his best on both sides of the floor. When Bynum does get early touches he plays better on defense and works harder on the boards.

I've seen Kobe get into individual matchups. That isn't the case. He's actually moved the ball tonight in certain cases, but the other guys don't know what to do with it (Artest, Fisher). Near the end of the quarter he was blatantly frustrated and he tried to break through the brick wall. Isn't going to break; hopefully he realizes that before the Lakers lose.
