Browns may have gotten the steal of the draft with Carlton Mitchell in the 6th round. He has 2nd round talent, imo. I really can't believe he was still on the board. Heckert has done a great job of feeling his way through. He didn't take McCoy too early and his patience paid off. Now, we get a guy like Mitchell with the 17th pick in the 6th round?
Wow. It feels great to have guys that actually know what they are doing running the show for us.Mitchell will end up a Top 3 receiver in this draft. Mark my words.
I feel the same way. I was hoping he would drop to the Steelers in the 6th but you guys swooped and and got him. I liked it better when the Browns had a bunch of fools in the front office.
well, he dropped that far for soem reason I am not aware of...
he needs a lot of coaching and polish he has raw skills though.
I'm please with what the 49ers did this draft, and actually, pretty pleased with the weekend for the Raiders.
McClain was a shaky pick but they addressed the line later, with guys who will hopefully pan out. But Bruce Campbell round 4 is well worth it, and Jason Campbell for a 2012 4th round pick is also well worth it.
For as much sh!t as Jason Campbell takes, he had a career year last year
3,600 passing, 250 rushing, 21 total TDs, 15 INTs, 65% completion percentage, and 86.4 QB rating.
Too bad he's going to fail in Oakland though, WRs horrible, OL very shaky.
Jamaal Jackson injury is a concern. Nick Cole a capable Center? He's the replacement if Jackson aint up to snuff. Struggled last year. Stacey Andrews gets a shot at RG with Jean-Giles capable of starting as well. Andrews says he is 100% this time. At Tackle where is the depth after Dunlap who was a project Tackle you took? Sure Stacey could move outside as well as Herremanns in case Peters/Justice were to fall. But thats hella weak.
Got 3 others names, 2 I know from past drafts Mcglynn, Tupou. Does Winston Justice progress or regress? Woiuld have been nice to add a quality tackle prospect.
I agree. Seattle is having an amazing draft. New England is doing well, and if the Broncos didn't take Tebow, they'd be having a great draft too. Other than the Tebow pick, the Broncos have done great. Not being a homer, but I think Tampa has done great too.
DT Gerald McCoy
DT Brian Price
WR Arrelious Benn
CB Mryon Lewis
WR Mike Williams
EVERY pick except Myron Lewis is a 1st round talent. And Lewis fills a huge need for the Bucs and he fits right into the Bucs' Tampa 2 defense. I'm really digging the Bucs' draft so far. I just wish we'd trade a pick from next year so we can get LaGarette Blount. Then take FB John Conner in the 6th and try and find a punter, and it'll be a JOB WELL DONE
Who do you guys think or will be rooting for Mr. Irrelevant?
This year's draft is so deep and there are going to be a lot of quality players that don't even get drafted. I realize that Mr. Irrelevant is just the tag for the last pick, but I don't think it applies this year.
