Default the current nfl draft process doesn't help bad teams get better

paying unproven rookies 8-11mil a season doesn't make teams any better. when high draft picks are busts *charles rogers, jamarcus russel* it only makes it harder for teams to rebuilt.

Was it Jacksonville or Minnesota that let the time run out and moved down two spots?

Trade down?

Don't draft 4 WRs in 5 years?

That's why there'll be an NBA style rookie payscale by next season.

I always felt this is BS... I think the front offices and the GMs should take the hit and stop trying to change the rules every time they fail to pick the right talent and improve these teams....

the nba draft system although not perfect, works even teams like the clippers and hawks stock pile high draft picks and become better, teams like the lions, raiders, chiefs, and rams have been terrible for years.

The problem with that is contracts are not guaranteed. What if someone comes in and gets hurt and is only make 4 mil to risk life long brain damage from a concussion? I would be okay with this rookie pay scale if the contracts of these people were valid for every penny promised in baseball or basketball.

Get better scouting and draft better!

The teams that are consistent winners find good talent late in the round or in the later rounds. Thats why these teams win and the other teams keep picking in the top ten every year.

Don't draft somebody only based on how far they can throw on their ass?
