Re: Round 1: Game 6, April 29: Dallas Mavericks (2-3) vs San Antonio Spurs (3-2)
i expect this one to be a lot like games 3 and 4. 1 of duncan or ginobili has to have a big game, duncan has slacked off enough already. dallas will give them a run for their money, it's just a matter of the spurs weathering the storm and countering them one more time.
if one of blair (8-10 pts, 6-8 reb) or bonner (3 threes) has a strong game, then i think dallas is toast.
oh and if it does go back to dallas, i think it will be a 50-50 game, not doom for the spurs as has been predicted. they won't be rattled. tony parker has been especially impressive in that respect

Betting on the Mavs in this one.
HOpefully Butler will show up again. He's not gonna get 40 obviously but just not completely scrubbing. Terry usually shows up in big moments and I think Dirk will, too.
Even if the Spurs win this, I imagine it will be close.

There is no way Rick Carlisle is starting Erick Dampier today. No way. Brendan Haywood has demonstrated last game that he's the superior center.
Originally he started Dampier because he guarded Tim Duncan well, but Brendan Haywood has played excellent D on Tim Duncan the last two games as well. He pretty much shut him down entirely in the last two games.

Spurs are going to come out focused and serious.
Dallas needs to match that energy, and push tempo.
We need 2 more big defensive efforts from Marion & Haywood.
Cannot wait until tipoff.

I agree that it is very likely Carlisle will start Haywood.
