Re: Analysis on why LeBron/Cavaliers lost to Celtics in 2010 round 2
elbow was fine stop it people. Your elbow can't be fine for 2 nice threes in a row then a missed shot later you are in such horrible pain that you stand around the 3 pt line and pass to teammates the whole time. so pathetic these excuses man..

Why are you taking the effort to capitalize every other word?
Re: Analysis on why LeBron/Cavaliers lost to Celtics in 2010 round 2
After it all sunk in a bit. I'm thinking:
Why did nobody really call Mike Brown out before?
this is easy to say in hindsight and lbj was doing some weird stuff too, but..
I didn't watch that many Cavs' games this season simply because I found em kinda... boring. Why?
1. The offense was a mess imo. They played in spurts and lbj bailed them out a lot of the time.
2. Jamison played terrible when arriving at the cavs. Shaq played his own game, too.
Now I didn't really give it much thought actually, but I wasn't the only one saying this. Now when thinking about it a little more, this all screams bad coaching. Add to this that a lot of people here on the boards called Brown a tool, meaning he doesn't have any authority, meaning he's not a good talent manager. But not many people rang the alarm, especially no 'experts' on the sports channels or in the papers. Or did I miss something? Some haters were saying that lbj was not going anywhere "because he never has" "he's a choker hahaha" but you can't take that serious.
How come? I admit hindsight is easy and I also admit that I didn't explicitly say this before the playoffs, but I haven't heard anyone seriously saying there's a coaching problem, while right now it seems blatantly obvious. The cavs had an insane roster, but even during the season it didn't look all that. Yes they won the most games, but I guess a lot of people recognize what I'm saying.

That's certainly the biggest reason for LeBron's struggles, but given his hesitancy to shoot all series and the lack of any good finishes around the rim...I'd like to think the elbow was a bigger issue than let on.
Come on now... first of all... those FT shooting percentages are based on a certain number of free throws. Lebron shot MORE free throws and his percentage went down a little as it should. Forget about the percentages and actually look at his free throw numbers game by game:
8-11
10-15
8-9
8-11
9-12
9-12
Do you honestly think those numbers indicate a dip in FT shooting form?
Re: Analysis on why LeBron/Cavaliers lost to Celtics in 2010 round 2
everyone can stop saying this is an upset... you can tell by my name im a cavs fan and i no it. they celtics started off amazing and then got hurt. they were healthy in the playoffs and thats that.
lets be honest
you take rondo over mo
ray over parker
james over pierce
garnett over jamison
perkins over shaq
you definetly take rivers over brown
i mean come one brown messed up the rotation. he hasnt played Z or gibson in months and decides to play them now? he takes delonte moon and hickson out of the rotation in the final 2 games. hickson was playing great!
jawad williams was playing great and he wasnt in the lineup. i doesnt take 6 games to realize jamison cant guard garnett. playoff time comes and you have an 8 to 9 man rotation. brown played 9 guys in the 1st quarter of game 6.

A one seed with the best record in the league and reigning MVP losing in the semi finals in 6 games vs a four seed is ALWAYS an upset.
Re: Analysis on why LeBron/Cavaliers lost to Celtics in 2010 round 2
The Cavs were used to winning and didn’t have to worry much about losing the 1st seed during the last half of the season. Once the plays that usually work didn’t and the shoots that usually fall didn’t fall, they were not readily equipped to weather their feelings of disappointment, doubt, and anxiety. They forgot what it was like to have to come from behind, stay confident, and struggle for a win. The more they lost to the Celtics, the more quickly they became flustered when they fell behind in the score. They had little practice with mental strength this season.
