Suns have swept a Spurs team in more convincing fashion that the Lakers did the Jazz. A Spurs team that was hot over the last stretch of the season and beat a tough Mavs team.

The Suns beat a gritty Portland team convincingly. Granted they were missing key players but still won in convincing fashion nonetheless.

The Suns also have the best record in the west Post All-Star Break.

I'm not sure why everyone's counting them out of it already.

Forget everything you've seen from the Lakers. Throw away their regular season record. In fact, use the Men in Black neurolyzer beam and erase EVERYTHING you know about the them.

Why?

Because they're about to crank it up another notch. We're about to see the Lakers CHAMPIONSHIP GEAR.

Cleveland has been eliminated. They've already beaten Orlando once. The smell of a repeat is in the air. That's blood in the water for a shark like Kobe Bryant.

Or Phil Jackson.

No one has yet mentioned the fact that the Suns are one of the most turnover-prone teams in the league. Lakers are sure to take advantage. Kobe and Artest will each average 4-5 steals a game.

The Suns defense basically consists of fouling the other team. Kobe and Gasol will have a field day.

JRich's hot shooting is the reason why the Suns have been so dominant lately. Well, now he can say hello to Ron Artest. He can ask Kevin Durant how enjoyable that experience was.

Kobe Bryant: 27.5 points, 54.4% FG’s, 28.6% 3’s, 7.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists.

Jason Richardson: 8.8 points, 30.9% FG’s, 14.3% 3’s, 3.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists.

Kobe says the trick to guarding JRich is to simply give him open shots at places he normally doesn't shoot the ball. Kobe is simply too smart a defender for him.
