after years of seeing Iverson and Kobe dominate with shooting percentages in the 30s and 40s, im finally seeing someone drop 35 here and 43 here while shooting 50,60, even 70%. maybe i just missed seeing it too much lol.

Iverson and Kobe lowered the standards that having a big game going 8/22 was considered acceptable. Wade averages big numbers but is doing it the old way, hovering around 49-50%. He's also just a great finisher and can just take over a game.

No need to bring up this topic again.

established by who and how? shaq gave credit to kobe for being the best player on the floor for all 3 despite shaq winning the mvp. you guys are quick to jump on here with best performance since this and best since that. amazing how you guys do this before series' are even over. i'm not a big kobe fan. matter of fact i was rooting against them but call it right. i mean what is with all this stuff. kobe, parker,ginobli all had nice runs in the finals. wade is mad nice but all this best since this and that is worthless. kobe was a beast in those title runs. stop hating.

It's not even the best Finals showing since 2003.

And for guards Jordan prolly had a better 97 series.

Kobe did a tremendous job in the 3 finals that they won. he's right up there with Pippen as far as im concerned. 2nd fiddle but also unsung heroes because they didnt get MVP.

Wade is having the best June since Jordan. look at his numbers, look at his FG% in the past few weeks, look at his hustle, his clutchness, his effectiveness on both ends of the court, everything.

i hope he keeps it up for the rest of the series. he's playing unbelievable. he's making basketball fun again. he's banking in shots, hitting midrange jumpers from every angle, driving the lane hard, hitting his 3's, getting huge rebounds, key steals, you name it. he's won me over in the past few weeks.

Hmmm...that's like a 37% FG average. Hardly legendary.

everyone has bad games in a series. its how you do over the course of the series. whats Wade averaging? like 33 and 8rpg. (40 and 9 at home). even the GOAT had some bad games in the finals. but over the course of the series he dominated. and thats what matters.

as you can see everyone has bad games.... just an example. Wade's game 1 and 2 games are no shocking feat.

96 NBA Finals

game 4
Jordan = 6-19

game 6
Jordan = 5-19

97 NBA Finals

game 3
Jordan= 9-22

game 4
Jordan= 11-27

game 6
Jordan= 15-35

the 15.6 pts is justified because in game 2 i believe, kobe had 2 points after 10 mins then went down with an ankle injury. so that dropped his avg. and anyone who says kobe carried shaq to those titles is an idiot. but you cant say that shaq won those titles by himself.

Wade is just proving how over rated kobe is. Kobe was never able to play at this level in the playoffs and yet got all the hype.

Of course Wade has the best finals showing since MJ for a guard.

Also Lebron, Wade, Arenas have had the best playoffs showing since MJ.

If we are not talking guards then Shaq has had some excellent finals and playoffs showing since 93 MJ.

Not just the playoffs but the entire playoffs, Wade has been better than any guard in the recent past.

im a big wade fan but to completely ignore wade's game 1 and game 2 and judge him on game 3 and 4 is a joke.

Kobe's playoff averages during the threepeat. Just awful, and he didn't hit any game winners or clutch shots either.

2000 - 21.1/4.5/4.4
2001 - 29.4/7.3/6.1
2002 - 26.6/5.8/4.6

You consider that to be 'awful'?
