The 4th year was an option pick up by the Nets.

Where?

He's a stud, but he's gonna need a lot more help before they go anywhere for real.
He gives the team hope. He is the kind of guy who you watch and you immediately believe in. He's the kind of guy who will make free agents seriously consider Toronto as a destination, that you could build a somewhat successful team around. Toronto fans have something to be optimistic about as long as Bosh is wearing their uniform.

It's difficult to explain, but successful franchises all have a Bosh. A player their fans can latch onto and hang with through the good and the bad and always have faith in. Mavs fans have Dirk, Spurs fans have Duncan, Cleveland fans have Lebron. Hell, those Pistons were built on a player as unskilled as Ben Wallace... you just need a centerpiece. Any team with a future has that building block that gets it all started, and now the Raptors have theirs. I watch Bosh, I don't see KG, but I do see a legit first step in the right direction.

Peoples definition of franchise player are limited to Lebron/Duncan level guys. So I didn't use that term. Because if I did the first reply would be that Bosh can't be a franchise player if he's not a top 20 player. But non top 10 guys can be seen as first steps to success... like Arenas, Ben Wallace, Bosh, etc.

Really good Bosh video.

Watch that. Lol, yes, the song is Hilary Duff, but it fits the video perfectly. The clips parallel what the song is actually saying. Shows him matching up against his boyhood idol KG then taking him to school as a coming-of-age event in the NBA. Great video.

Default Lebron to Nets, Lakers, knicks, bulls

someone earlier quoted that Lebron will not turn down max money..

but he can make more than max money if he plays for the qualifying offer then forcing Cleveland to S&T him at the max to the big market teams... Lebron did want to be rich right?

that WAS a great video. after watching playoff basketball for the past month, it's nice to see some wicked basketball being played by someone in a raptor uniform.

also, in that vid

you can REALLY notice the difference between bosh in his rookie year, and bosh last season.

he filled out a hell of a lot in that time.

Maybe this is too cut-throat, but why do GM's sign these Max extensions? Why not let him play out the final year of his contract, allow him to become a restricted free agent, THEN sign him to the max.

Why pay Bosh 12 million next year when they only need to pay him 4.2?
