Here's probably an explanation on why Gamestop cant fullfill their pre-orders. BTW, gotta love the 360 ad placed in the article. lmao.

Ahead of the launch of the PlayStation 3 in the US, Lazard Capital Markets believes Sony will only be able to ship between 150,000 and 200,000 units to retail shelves.

The figure is half that promised by Ken Kuturagi back in September after the announcement of a delay to the consoles launch in PAL regions.

"We expect Sony to deliver 150-200k units to stores in the United States for the launch; consumers without pre-orders may find it difficult to locate an available system," said Lazard's Colin Sebastian.

I dare someone to call me an idiot now and say I dont know what I am talking about

I envision a lot of pushing and shoving on launch day, perhaps full scale riots. A lot of peeps who pre-ordered are going to get screwed. I'll patiently wait while I watch the madness unfold.

I thought the 360 launch day shortage was pretty bad, but this appears way worse.

1080p is pretty much useless this generation man, unless you're a big movie buff and want to build your BluRay or HD-DVD Collection (even though they still look amazing in 1080i or 720p)

Cable and Satellite wont be broadcasting in 1080p for a long time if ever.

and yes, I believe the 360 is a superior system to the PS3, Im just getting one so I can sell it on ebay.

yes... it comes with both kinds of cables. Plus it actually has good games. Who wants to play PS3's horrible lineup. There isnt one game I want to play out of the 20 launch games, I already have 360 so that excludes Madden, 2k7.

For every1 buying Playstation 3 are you concerned at all that the games out right now are pretty bad compared to both Wii and 360.

I paid mine off at EB yesterday and they said they're only getting 6 instead of the 8 due to shortages so the OP was right..

ok, so im this close *holds thumb and forefinger an inch away from eachother* to picking up this 360, i got my trade in value for my original xbox + 8 games and the dvd controller hookup (im getting around $140 for all that... i'd rather not think of what all that cost me tho) and ALL i need now is a list of what games are 100% backwards compatible. there's only a couple i want to hang onto, but i might as well trade them in if i can't use them anymore. can anyone hook me up with this list? i checked out the xbox website and couldn't find it.

umm no.
the losers are the retards paying upwards of $2000 for these things on e-bay.

I agree though, paying even 400 bucks for a video game console is too much.
