I don't see how anyone could expect us to win tonight. I just don't see it happening.

Cosign. We're optimistic, but we're also realistic. Spurs are the best team in the league. We have a ways to go. TMac needs to regain his shooting touch, Bonzi needs to lose some weight and Novak needs some PT.

Spurs are good but hardly unbeatable. They really havn't been too impressive thus far. Just done enough to win games they have no business winning.

They're beatable, but they are also the best team in the NBA. We can beat them. I just don't antcipate that we will.

I agree that it'll be a tough game to pull out, as I alluded to at the start of the thread, but I'm interested to see how the Rockets feed off the crowd. Could be a playoff type of atmosphere tonight, if the home opener against Dallas is any indication. Chuck Hayes will be missed though, so it's going to take one hell of a team effort to get the W.

I'll give us a 35% chance of winning and I'd set the line at about Spurs -6.

C'mon guys don't cop out with the safe Spurs prediction. I think you're downplaying the Rockets more than necessary. I'm not saying they are better than the Spurs, but I do think thou protests a bit too much.

I seriously think Spurs by about 6. If we hadn't lost Chuck Hayes in Miami, I'd be a lot more confident right about now. Plus there's that 4-28 record against the Spurs in our last 32 meetings. That doesn't usually make me feel too good about things

It just means you're due! And did you ever think you'd make a post saying I'd feel better about our chances if we had Chuck Hayes?

Man ClutchCity, you made me go back to the days of the Compaq Center. On March 17, 2001, which was my birthday btw, the Rockets won that game against the Spurs. 103-99. I remember that day the Compaq Center was so loud. OMG, I will never forget that game, it was just insane. I feel special to say, I was at one of the Rockets victories against the Spurs. 4-28 in the last couple of years, but I can proudly say I attended one of them, right behind the basket.

Ahhh, memories. I hope they win tonight ClutchCity, because the feeling is going to be incredible.
