i've always thought that Wall was going to be a stud and Rubio a dud but that's just me...
I think that's more likely than them both being busts or Wall being a bust. That said, Rubio's looked great, not just in highlights but in terms of how well his teams always seem to do. The one area I think Wall is overrated in is his athleticism, he's extremely quick, but I can't see him dunking on people in the NBA like Rose does.
I think alot of us aren't qualified to make an opinion on Ricky Rubio considering lack of exposure. I bet alot of you are commenting on just hype factor alone without probably seeing a full game from him.
Rubio was playing in a MEN's league at the age of 17. And to say that the quality of players aren't that great well, the Spanish team isn't considered a bunch of slouches.
The only justifiable head to head you can make is gauge them on the same playing feild. Rubio held him ground amongst men. That's worthy of a little hype.

Good post.
Rubio will be a star in the league, as will Wall, instead of bashing these talents, why talk about what they can do? From what Ive seen of Rubio, he has awesome basketball IQ, his vision on the court is very good, and Wall's athleticism alone is amazing, and he will be quite a player himself..

Rubio's IQ is infantile compared to Nash, Fisher, and Billups and Wall's athleticism won't look as eye popping when he plays RW and RW.
Not saying these guys aren't talented but at the highest level you have to have work ethic and toughness and a lot of luck on your side.
That' why you don't jump on a players bandwagon so quickly.
There are countless NBA/NCAA college players that would do considerably better [in that league] than Rubio at age 17.
The talent pool in America is loads better than Spain/Europe.
I'm not trying to hurt feelings I'm just telling the truth.
Rubio looks like he'd be an average NBA player at best.
Go look at Jeremy Tyler
Dominated in high school averaged 28 ppg.
Hardly got a minute in Isreal
Quote:
His coach calls him lazy and out of shape. The team captain says he is soft. His teammates say he needs to learn to shut up and show up on time. He has no friends on the team. In extensive interviews with Tyler, his teammates, coaches, his father and advisers, the consensus is that he is so naïve and immature that he has no idea how naïve and immature he is. So enamored with his vast potential, Tyler has not developed the work ethic necessary to tap it.
The people Wall plays against are worse than those of Rubio.
HAHAHA are u kidding Wall faced on Avg probably at least two NBA prospects a game last season.. Rubio faces maybe 2 a season. How many more players get drafted from D1 than from Europe.
LOL... everyone knows Americans do not mesh well in the European game especially high school all stars expecting to be the main player on a team but instead having to settle as a role player. This ends in the stuck up european "coaches" benching the "American Prima Donna". Guess who else hardly played a minute in Europe? Brandon Jennings and he turned into a ROY runner up. Id be shocked if Rubio made one all star appearance.
