Putting his name in the draft means he is committing himself to having his draft rights assigned to a team that selects him, it doesn't mean he has to sign with any team. He's fulfilled his obligation as far as I can tell, and now he's negotiating a better life for himself like everyone would. Minnesotta front office just made a really bad decision to draft him knowing he would never sign with them, because Minnesotta front office is just not very good at making solid decisions.

Re: Rubio's competition vs Wall's, considering how many busts there have been in the NBA who were stars in college or international game, I don't think it matters where they played. I hope they both bring something new to the NBA so it sucks less.
I never said euro league sucks, I said its inferior to the NBA.

Rubio knew what the draft was about before he signed on....so if he wants to stay in Spain then fine.....you don't hear the Gasol bros complaining though.

Minnesota is not that bad of a place to live or play....look at the world around you man....Rubio makes himself look more and more like an arrogant baby every time his name comes up in the news.

Come or dont come....but telling the Wolves they need to get better so that you come over is disrespectful and arrogant.

Look at how he's been an elite passer since age 14. Look at his basketball Iq. Look at his steals. Look how comfortable he is on the court. He plays like a vet because he's been playing pro since age 14

If he can't deal with that, then he may aswell just stay in Europe.

People do it in NFL and MLB all the time. Both Peyton and Eli Manning landed with teams they wanted rather than play for the teams with higher picks. Danny Ferry was drafted by the Clippers but he went to play in Italy, a smart move I think.

Well look at it from Rubio's perspective. T-Wolves knew what the draft was about and what Rubio's position was. Then they go ahead and draft him any way, and then they draft another point guard, making it clear they knew Rubio wasn't going to sign with them. That's just messing with someone's career man.

Not saying he's not arrogant or a baby. Maybe he is, maybe not. But it's basically T-Wolves front office that screwed up thinking Rubio could be treated like asset and not a person with goals and preferences, except this time they weren't dealing with some college kid who has never seen money and want to get his hands on that rookie contract right away.

It doesn't say much for the talent level in the euro league when a 14 year old can be elite. That would never in the nba or college not even d3

The League Rubio played in when he was 14 can't even compare to the league he plays in right now the difference is like High School basketball and college.

Last I checked dunking is worth 2pts. Yes Superstar being named 1st team All-American and being the favorite to be the no1 pick based on his college and the most talked about player in the ncaa not sure what u call it but I call it being a Super star

True I think it saids alot more when a high school stud who averaged 28.8 ppg and was expected to be dominant in college couldn't even average 5 ppg overseas.
