Barkley knows he was owned by Yao rookie year. Said he would never score in double figures even once or something like that. Notorious Yao hater, Barkley is.
Doesn't surprise me.
Anyway, Barkley just brought up Shaq's championships and said Yao would have to get out of the first round before we can call him the best Center in the NBA. Barkley forgot that Shaq played with 3 HOF Guards.

1. Can Yao consistently be dominant? He has stretches but they said he should at the minimum be a 20 & 10 guy every night
2. Who does he make better? Shaq played with Penny, Kobe, Wade who all had thier best seasons with him. He made others around him better and the teams title contenders. Hakeem made Kenny/Cassell better. Does Yao?
3. Playoff success. What has Yao done in the playoffs? How far has he taken the team? Is he really dominant? Is he the best Center in the game when Shaq can answer all these questions which to this is a testament of how great you really are. They gave props to him improving his game but the talks of him being the best Center...they arent sold on just yet.
Why would a 6'5 Barkley play against a 7'5 Yao? Anyway, Barkley just brought up Shaq's championships and said Yao would have to get out of the first round before we can call him the best Center in the NBA. Barkley forgot that Shaq played with 3 HOF Guards.
Barkley talking out his ass again. But it's nothing new, all these national analyst never show love to the Rockets or any other team not named Spurs, Lakers, Cavs, Mavs, Suns or Heat.
He was talking about if Yao is dominant? WTF?!? Last year he put up those huge numbers in the 2nd half of the season against Double and Triple teams. Then he drops 30+ on both the Heat and Mavs in blowout wins and he still questions Yao's dominance? Are any of them even watching full NBA games or do they just watch SportsCenter like everybody else?
I'd assume Kobe and Wade are locks for the HOF barring any injuries (Kobe will pretty much be there regardless). As for Penny, he won't make it, but he was a top 3 player during that time and would have been well on his way to the HOF if it wasn't for the injury. My point is that he was a HOF player at that time, but he obviously won't make it there because his career was cut short.
