What do people not understand about the difference between immediately absorbing salary and expiring contracts?
who said i didn't, its not like Im making the trade . geez people need to chill out, its just one suggestion . are you the GM? how do you know he woulldn't consider it?
Why wouldn't a team want to sign a young, talented, player on a very affordable contract??
Its amazing how many people don't understand that the Wolves have built up a nice group of young, talented, assets.
Do they work together as a decent team?? Probably not.
Where they compiled with the idea that only these players would be the foundation of the Wolves' future, and none would be used as assets and traded?? Absolutely not.
BINGO! Like I keep saying anyways, Ridnour makes a ton more sense than Sessions.
Why is that??
Sessions is younger and would likely be on a cheaper contract than Ridnour, which would make him a much more attractive asset to a team in need of a PG.
If/When Sessions is traded, my guess is that it will be to a young, up-and-coming, team looking for an young guard to run the show. These types of teams could be trading an equally young player that would fit in with the Wolves' rebuilding plans.
Ridnour, on the other hand, would likely be traded to a team wanting a veteran point guard to ease the regular season load on their starter, and to perform under pressure in the playoffs. These types of teams would have fewer assets the Wolves would be looking for in a trade situation.
If/When Sessions is traded, it won't be to simply dump his contract. He's on a very respectable contract for young talent (approx. 3 yrs/$13 million), so there's no need to just dump him for an expirer.
The Wolves wont' return to respectability through Free Agency, it will be through drafting and cashing in the assets they have accumulated, so saving a few million in cap room won't be worth ditching an asset like Sessions.
I think the Pacers should definitely try to get him now, they need a pg more than any other team.
I have no idea what happened when Kahn was here but for some reason he's got some grudge with Indy. Who the hell knows what Kahn'd want, but in theory the two teams could work something out, Sessions for Ford, something. I just don't see a deal ever happening between the teams with some of the shit Kahn's talked.

because minny has a lot of young talent and needs to combine it with veterans. Sessions is not that good of a player, no defense and no shooting.
Ridnour makes more sense for them. Much better playmaker, defender and shooter. He would be a good mentor for Flynn also.
Also they will sign Ridnour for the same contract 16 mil/4 years
