He's relegated to the 'hard nosed defender' tag-line and is rarely praised for anything else. Emphasis is placed on his defense but I think his offensive game is criminally overlooked. Certainly not a game changer but still a great guy to have going to war for you every night.

Hell, last season they put up 147 points against the Warriors! one of this highest scoring games among all teams. I can understand thinking some of the personalities are not the most entertaining, but the game is played on the floor not in interviews. Watching the team play the game is far from boring, particularly with their current squad, but then again I find isolation-after-isolation-after-isolation pretty boring... To each their own.

i've watched them for years and i still think they're boring

You're obviously butthurt over something. Most likely the Spurs crushing whatever pathetic team you cheer for out of the playoffs on multiple occaisions.

Nobody but Spurs haters use the tired, half a decade old line of "they're boring to watch". Go watch And 1 streetball tournaments or overrated last place teams if you don't want to see real NBA games.

Note: Spurs games were voted in as game of the week to be watched more than any other team on NBA tv last season. Nearly every time a Spurs game was an option to be watched. . .it was voted on for fan pick night. Usually in a landslide.

You're in the minority for thinking they're boring.

your right. The times the Spurs went through the Suns to win a championship they did not sweep the Suns. And the time the Suns won a championship.....wait...never mind...they haven't. I guess for you guys it is like living next door to a super hung nudist porn star when you have a two inch *****. Must be real tough. I would tell you I know how it feels but I don't. So strange how the NBA is so obsessed with signing them then.

No. He just now started to play like an elite player in Europe in the last couple of months. Before that he was just good and not more than that. Now is the right time for him to go to the Spurs because the managers will not tolerate Popovich not playing him major minutes now.

If Popovich tries to bench him he will be fired. If Splitter came last a few years ago, 2 years ago, maybe even last year Popovich could have benched him and the Spurs management would have allowed it.

But now Splitter has some actual clout behind him like being a top 5 player in Europe possibly (and not just hype and good play), so no way in hell will the Spurs managers accept him getting benched.

Now is the right time for him. Besides if he came to the NBA earlier he would not be as good now, plus he would have made 1/8 as much money as he did in Spain. That rookie scale contract was measly compared to his salary in Baskonia.

This makes SA a much bigger threat to win it all. They have needed an athletic, defensive oriented C next to TD for a few years now. Now Splitter can chase guards off pick and rolls instead of Duncan and Duncan can dominate his man and the low post. It will be hard to get to the rim against them IMO.

Splitter is described by ESPN as basically a skilled, in control version of Anderson Varejao. Sign me up. Cheaper than Darko and Pekovic? STEAL!

SA still has work to do. They need Barnes and maybe Jefferson too(hope year 2 goes smoother as he will hopefully make adjustments) at SF, as they have nothing there. They need a little bit more scoring and a top level perimeter defender. They could go cheaper than Jefferson, but not sure who is out there.
Barnes would be ideal for banging with the big, strong, scoring SFs of today. They can get out and run more too with the athletic Splitter to go with their perimeter guys. That would help Parker and Jefferson especially.

They could also trade Parker for a stud SF or something. Granger?

Sure you are. You're a hater because your team sucks compared to the Spurs. Four titles. How many does your team have in your lifetime? Zero? Awww ~

You even go to Spurs haters' sites. The mark of a true failure is when you have to cheer against someone because you have nothing to cheer for. Of course, being a Pacers fan, it's obvious that you pick a team to hate. You need something to cheer for in the playoffs, and the Spurs are always in them. Makes perfect sense~

Spurs: WCF at least next season.

Yes, they're going to fire a career .670% winning percentage coach who has won four titles with a small market team and won 50+ games every year for over a decade.

Worst post ever.

Suns did get owned by the Lakers. Amare was reduced to a laughing stock of the NBA. The Suns as a team collectively seemed to quit in multiple games.

You can gloat all you want about the Suns beating the Spurs once. The Spurs have still crushed the Suns out of the playoffs during every season the Suns had a chance to win a title. Spurs had nearly no chance last season. I couldn't care less. The sting hurts far less than what Suns fans have had to feel at the hands of the Spurs during the last half a decade.

Spurs also, have a better team, will be a higher seed, have a brighter future, and will get farther in the playoffs next season. You're trying too hard kid. Nobody in SA cares.
take your own advice, every time you feel like saying that the suns lucked out on half of their wins when they swept the spurs, think of what you just said.
