Once Amare and Melo come back and take away all his shot attempts he will go back to average statistics.

His shot attempts and points will go down, but his assists will probably go up a bit. Teams will still have to respect him because of what he can do, which will make it even better for Melo and Amare whenever Lin is creating for them.

I bet he can't wait for them to get back.
He just got the keys to the chevy (after being told he would ride a bike for the rest of his life).
Next week he is going to upgrade to a ferrari.

I'm curious to see how he responds. D'Antoni system is designed for a pg so I still expect him to create the plays.

I believe the saying is that Summer League doesn't tell you who can play - it tells you who can't.

This guy has no idea what he's talking about.

Idiot.

IN a few years after this flames out and a few other teams try and "find the magic" he will be back to playing summer league trying to get a TC invite.

Disagreed. He's shown he can play, he clearly has a very high BB IQ, and a great work ethic. He'll be just fine.

It'll be interesting to see whether teams start playing him for his jumpshot. Not exactly a Rondo-like treatment but a significant factor in Lin getting to the basket so much IMO was a lot of players letting their ego take over and playing him extremely tight.

With that being said, he can play the hell out of the P&R and as mentioned, he's going to play a ton of minutes. I think he'll be fine if not putting up outrageous numbers.

I wasn't putting Lin down but thanks for that I guess...

A Lin/Kidd comparison is laughable at this point anyway.

Don't judge the kid based on a 5 game spread. Let's see how he does the rest of the season when the ball hogs come back and the Knicks start losing again.

i dont dare post this on the NBA board because of the sheer amount of Linsane morons on there

he's got fresh legs, he hasn't played any games until late January in one of the most gruelling scheds in NBA history

he's got game for sure, he takes and makes big shots and is very unselfish, but it's amplified through his lack of fatigue

now if he can maintain this level of play, then I'll be really impressed

Lin Was Almost A Raptor

Quote:
The Knicks and Raptors discussed a trade of Anthony Carter for Jeremy Lin.

New York was interested in bringing back Carter to bring stability to the point guard position.

“We knew one thing about him after bringing (Lin) in,” said Bryan Colangelo. “We knew he was one tough kid.

“He took one of the hardest hits I’ve ever seen on a court and one of the toughest falls. He got hit from behind, crashed to the floor, eventually got up. We didn’t think he’d get up, to be honest. And he shook it off and continued the workout.

“We were extremely impressed by that.”
