I myself use "literally" too much, but I'm at least aware of it and use it only when it actually applies.

swagger and douchebag have been used so much and so often now that I no longer view them as trends, just common words...

they are here to stay I think...

like "motherf*cker"...the "motherf*cker" trend has been strong for decades, so no one looks at that word as a trend...

'chirp' is on another level dumb. canadiancockwad was the first idiot i heard use it, so i naturally assumed it was only morons who used it. but over the last year, i've met dozens of totally legit fellas who just let it roll off their tongue. truly despicable and a disgrace to all vocab.

i met another dude who said 'true' to everything.

'so anyways, i was on my way to the store-'

'oh, true'

ugh

"chirp" hasn't migrated to Dallas from Canada yet...

I hope it never makes it all the way down here...

I've literally (just for you Lamar) never heard anyone say chirp besides canadianballer. I always thought it was just him trying to set himself apart or start a trend. I hope I never hear it in real life.

Also, "true that" is way worse than just someone saying "true." I cringe every time I hear someone respond with "true that."

I've never heard chirp used in the way Canadianballer does but it doesn't bother me at all. I have to admit, I started using it myself just piss people off.

That and *insert any word here*-show. Yes, I am very annoying.

Thankfully that trend is not as rampant as years past.

damn - it's gotta be a purely southern ontario thing then. specifically the gta and smaller surrounding towns, because i don't hear it at all in ottawa. whatever the case, let's pray this virus doesn't begin to spread and infect more than just have-not ontario.

That's the one I was gonna bring up. My co-worker has made up the "word" "legitly". Makes me cringe every time I hear it.

You two should be jubilant. At least now Canada is known for something other than bacon and health-care.

I met up with a friend to play some ball yesterday and he brought his cousin along. In every sentence, no matter what he was talking about, the word awesome was intertwined.

"Yo, that was so awesomely bad."

"I cant believe you broke him with that awesome crossover full of awesomeness..........."

Whenever someone uses a word, any word, repetitively to that extent, I cannot take it.
