He's affiliated. He's been around street stuff all his life. From family to peers. He raps about gang banging, drug using, selling. Everything that happens in the street, he finds creative ways to express what he sees, experienced.

Lol that's all I needed to hear.

Try not to let fans of a certain artist sway your opinion on him.

Shit, I'm a big fan of Earl Sweatshirt, and most of his fans are middle-class, white teenagers.

The first 90% of the songs you posted that I took time to listen to simply had no rhythm, there was little agreement with the lyrical structure and the production it was over. Simply not enjoyable for that reason.

A couple others I heard I acknowledged to myself that they came from the heart but were so unpolished, so amateur sounding that I couldn't overlook that as even crappy poetry and poor execution of real expression can be ineffective for those reasons.

Ugh hate to break it to u dude but the production values were quite amateur in comparison to guys with certain deals and with labels.

That doesn't mean the music can't be good but that early stuff I clicked on when Thornton was really pumpin dude and he was new had home studio quality, in production clarity and technical acoustics.
