What has Lil b created other than a million terrible tracks? Just because he displays some honesty in his lyrics doesn't make him talented. Other artist do that often... And they can actually rap, write a song, etc.
based rapping. swag rap. celebrity name chants (there was just one on mac n cheese 3 which came out just a few weeks ago!). "pretty boys". asap rocky. kreayshawn. trinidad james. clams casino.

Lil b didn't invent any of those. Except for maybe based rapping, I have no Idea what that even is. The other 2 have been done to death.
Lil Wayne had songs called Kobe Bryant and bill gates back in 09, when Lil b was only know for being in the pack.
Straight up, here's the video. I haven't listened to rap in a while (it's been years) as I've moved on to different pastures (note; german techno and the like).
I used to listen to guys like Lupe, Talib Kweli, Deltron 3030, other 'underground' artists like that (though, to be fair, Lupe isn't 'underground').
In addition, the main selling point for me besides the ambiance for me are the lyrics. I hate lyrics that are all about '****ing bitches,' 'drug deal this drug deal that.' Give me something I can relate to, something cool, and different.
swag rap kind of existed, but lil b made it popular and made it what it is today. the term itself "swag" became overused to death from 2010-2011 because of our god. "i'm different" "purple swag" "gucci gucci" "all gold everything" don't exist without lil b. the two wayne songs u listed are not celebrity name chants, try again. and yea they've both been done to death since lil b created them so u are correct there.
here is based rapping done by other rappers, never became that popular but was clearly completely new and didn't exist before him.
I guess he started it in 09.... He let ross have it in 2010, Then he waited till 2011 to bring it back out... Which is when everyone began to jack his style!
