I would personally call him a hip hop artist rather than a rapper, kinda like kanye. Drake has so many songs where he 'sings' than raps

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Se2l8R-HhmA I don't know how many people big on Twista but I grew up on dude being from the midwest and all and I think this album slaps.

Check out his other albums. Great underground MC from canada.
I don't see how this is considered good music.. I saw the entire video... I get the lyrics and the metaphor/allegory/hyperbole but still i think it's crap.

I'm not black or "into dat lyfe" so i can't relate or anything but I feel like rap has really gone downhill since the 90s, that's not to say there's no good underground rappers since all of the "good hip-hop" is all underground these days but the problem is that the production value on both the studio and visual side is so lacking compared to mainstream rappers that even though the content is good they just can't compete with studio effects and high definition sound.

It doesn't make someone a hipster or a hater if they don't like Drakes music.

Drake is a popstar who was born with a silver spoon down his throat. It is understandable that hip-hop fans may not like him. He has some great rap songs. But he is a pop star.

Just like it takes a certain type of person with a specific maturity level to enjoy classical or jazz music. It takes a certain type of person with a certain maturity level to like Drake.

I can promise you, the jazz and classical enthusiasts are far more mature and intelligent than the Drake teeny boppers.

Remove Earl as your avatar for such a claim.

Big Sean has never released anything but mediocrity.

Big Sean is good for what he is. I don't go into an album from him expecting bars and jaw dropping wordplay.
