If you think Keith or RZA is hot then you should think the same of Lil B. Only difference between them is the generation gap.

a lot of older people are afraid of the future and he assumes the reason i and others like based god is because of the "swag nonsense" which couldn't farther from the truth, which are so obviously just for fun.

You post pics and gifs of his style in bulk and expect people to think you don't admire his style?

C'mon son, even you know better than that.

Once again man, you are missing the point. I'm not saying he's very difficult to decipher, because he's not. It has nothing to do with complexity. Besides, you could be the smartest man in the world and not understand the simplest of concepts.

I listen to the same songs you guys posted plus a few more.

I actually like his interviews better than his songs.

The way he broke down what happened with the guy that hit him was admirable.

I can dig the way he accentuates being positive as well.

But you gotta be able to spit hot lyrics and that's where he falls short sadly.

that's part of his marketing strategies. he aint on a major label so he's gonna drop famous names to get the attention. But he drops the serious stuff on the side.

dude is just a marketing and musical genius.

how many non-major label artists can get 3-5 million hits on youtube? only the Based God can.

again, you're missing the point, he is intentionally not being the "hot spitter". he is fully capable but he doesn't want to be that.

You said I don't understand him.

I'm saying that I do understand him and I don't like what he's saying.

He makes songs about random dumb shit sometimes man...you gotta admit that, or, point me to a song with hidden meaning and I'll concede that you were right (in full or in part).

Well it depends what you define as "hot lyrics". Because to me, lots of "old school" rappers had weak lyrics and were average rappers but people consider them all time greats.

I mean, at the end of the day it's all subjective. There really isn't any reason to fight about it. That's the beauty of music, it has something for everyone.
