Default Granger may've broken his finger UPDATE: No he didn't

http://sports.espn.go.com/oly/olybb/...ory?id=5452963

Quote:
NEW YORK -- Danny Granger injured his right ring finger during the final scrimmage of a three-hour practice Tuesday on Team USA's first full day of training camp, the latest instance of adversity to strike the U.S. national team.

"He dislocated the bone, but he said he put it right back, and he says he feels he'll be all right," coach Mike Krzyzewski said following the practice at John Jay University.

Playing defense, Granger was going up to contest a shot when he jammed his hand against the underside of the rim. He immediately ran off the court clutching his hand and sought treatment from the team's athletic trainer, Casey Smith. Krzyzewski quickly went over the check on him, and Granger spent the final moments of practice sitting behind the scorer's table, his hand wrapped in ice.

"We'll find out what I did," Granger said. "It feels fine now, it's numb."
If he broke it he's off the team, too close the tournament to heal. He (should) be fine for the season though. Still, this is just our luck.

Danny Granger's ring finger on his shooting hand is not broken and he will be able to return to U.S. practice when he is ready.

USA Basketball officials said Wednesday that X-rays on Granger's finger were negative and it is only dislocated. The Indiana Pacers forward was hurt when he hit his right hand on the rim during a scrimmage Tuesday. He left practice with his ring and middle fingers taped together and a splint over the ring finger.

Now let us see Granger represent team USA and give the Pacers some marketing ;)
