Default Linas Kleiza joins Raptors

The Toronto Raptors announced Monday they have signed forward Linas Kleiza (LYNN-as CLAY-za) to a multi-year contract as all required paperwork has now been officially filed with the League Office. Kleiza’s rights technically became property of the Raptors on July 17 when an offer sheet was not matched by the Denver Nuggets. Per team policy, financial details were not disclosed.

“We are very happy to add a tough-minded, hard-nosed forward who will certainly get a chance to contribute given the departure of Hedo Turkoglu,” said Raptors President and General Manager Bryan Colangelo. “Linas has that unique inside/outside game that makes him a tough cover at a couple of different positions.”

I don't think here in Denver anybody is on the ledge ready to jump because of losing Linas I mean he was an average player nothing too exciting. In a way he was a bigger version of J.R. I mean when he was on he was good but when he was off he could throw a cow and not hit the side of a barn.

Terrible move not bringing kleiza back- or atleast making it a s+t- he is a commodity that has value, why give it away
------
Add kleiza to the list of pieces given away by the nuggets- lucky the team is so good at the top that all the giveaways haven't looked as bad as they are- nugs ownership is not trying, that is terrible for us fans
------
I'm hoping harrington can play pf but with or without him you have to know that kleiza at 4ish mill is always a tradeble asset as a big wing who can run and shoot
------
Will you wish the nugs could get kleiza back for birdman or harrington in 2-3-4 years? Yes

Only thing LK could have been for us was a trade asset. Useless for our team when we have Harrington\J.R\Lawson coming off the bench. We don't need any more scoring. I would have liked Denver trying to swap LK for a back up big or something.

Our luck he'll end up reaching his potential and becoming consistent with the Raptors tho and that'd suck.
