Atwater should be higher and why is Lynch on there? Someone from the old era where you could get away with a lot more crap should be on there like Mad Dog Mike Curtis.

Re: The NFL's 10 Most Feared Tacklers Ever
you know Lane gets so much praise for having a tackle that is now illegal...his neck twist deal where he grabbed players by the helmet...
this:
let me point out another player that was so dangerous they had to make his tackle illegal:
check out the leg!
the reason Owens was injured the Super Bowl year...
he should get some mention...so he sucked in coverage?....it doesn't take away from the fact that he was very feared as far as hitting goes...

I'm pleasantly surprised that Lynch is on there. He rarely gets the respect he deserves, and when he does, SOMEONE always has to ***** about it (just like jackas18 did). People don't remember him during his prime from the late 90s-early 00s. He was perhaps THE most feared hitter in all of football for a good 3 year stretch.

Roy Williams was a hell of a hitter when he actually hit, but that horse collar shit isn't hitting.

Using the horse collar was just an indication that he wasn't fast enough to make a real tackle.

Re: The NFL's 10 Most Feared Tacklers Ever
well in that case I guess Night Train dragging people down by their helmet isn't a tackle either...

(5 seconds)
Roy was HELLA fast in college...the only saftey I have ever seen that could single handedly take over a game himself...
by getting in the backfield and horsecollaring the shit out of the QB or RB...that was his style...
he was violent with those horsecollars...slam you down like it is the WWF

Oh, boo-****ing-hoo. Mad Dog's clotheslines and attempts at ripping players' heads off >>>>> Lynch's hits. I was more saying something about the old rules than anything about Lynch.
You don't see me complaining about Sean Taylor not being on there, granted he probably didn't get mentioned due to his short career.
