i'm not really sure how the 6'9" outlaw is going to stay with the little 6'5" SF's he'll be asked to guard. but i guess that's when t-will goes in for him.
overall it's a decent roster, i guess. i don't see the starting guards being the long-term solutions, but t-will has a chance to be the 2nd star player on this team after lopez. so i guess this season is all about him and favors.
then with all the good draft picks we'll have in the next couple of years, hopefully the remaining holes can be filled in.
Nets Waive May

The Nets announced Tuesday evening that they have waived Sean May, who had an non-guaranteed deal as a training-camp invite.
"During a basketball workout last week, in preparation for the upcoming training camp and season, Sean May suffered a stress fracture to his left foot," Billy King said in the team's press release. "This injury has a four-eight week rehab period, which would not provide Sean a legitimate chance to make our team."
Battling injuries and weight issues, May has played just 119 games in his four-year career.
I always liked how Jarvis played, even though he is injure prone. Though his minutes will likely take a huge hit this season because of the new additions, I would love him to come back.

Yahoo's Marc Spears tweeted early Friday morning that veteran forward Joe Smith "is expected to take a physical with New Jersey Nets on Friday & sign a contract." Smith, the No. 1 pick of the 1995 Draft, averaged just 3.0 points in 9.3 minutes per game with the Atlanta Hawks last season. He's 35 years old.
With the addition, the Nets would have 15 players under contract. The Nets are expected to announce training camp invites next week as well, but will only bring in "a couple of guys", according to a team insider.
Marc J. Spears reports Stephen Graham will sign a two-year, $2.1 million vets minimum deal with Nets (2nd year Nets option), quoting agent Byron Irvin. Graham, a 6'6" guard-forward, is 28 years old. The twin brother of Joey Graham, Stephen averaged 4.2 ppg and 1.9 rpg in 11 minutes a game last season for Charlotte. He started 8 games for the Bobcats

Terrence Williams practiced with the Nets in Dallas on Wednesday, and he was there on time. He says that his trip to the D-League provided "an awakening."
"I really understood going down there and it definitely woke me up, and hopefully helps my career in the long run," Williams told reporters after practice. He adds that tears from his mother and a question from 12 year old ball boy really set him straight.
Williams will be in the Nets' rotation against the Mavs on Thursday, and Avery Johnson says that there will a change to the starting lineup as well. Al Iannazzone guesses that Damion James will start for Travis Outlaw.
Orien Greene can play. It was always off-the-court issues that have concerned NBA front offices. Now he is getting another chance to prove he has matured and deserves to stick in the NBA.
Greene got a call up from the D-League and 10-day contract from the New Jersey Nets, according to a tweet from Jonathan Givony of Draft Express.
Greene averaged 18.0, 5.1 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game with the Utah Flash this season.
Greene has had past issues with drug tests and car accidents, while playing for the Celtics, Pacers and Kings. He’s trying to prove now that he has matured. He likely will not get a lot of run with the Nets, but it’s a foot in the door. We’ll see what he does with it.
Now that the Melo drama is over the Nets can finally focus on other things. Their have been rumors that Devin Harris could be sent to the Hawks, Mavs, or Blazers so its time to start looking at PG's via draft, trade, or free agency. Plus, I've been hearing the Nets like Aaron Brooks from the Rockets. Anthony Morrow is cool at SG. I like the Frontcourt of Brook Lopez, Derrick Favors, and Damion James once he starts getting more PT. Once the Nets can get some veteran help to come off the bench and they can get a PG, they can turn this thing around.
