anyways, sorry to cut our conversation short, I've got to open at the Olive Garden in the AM. Fingers crossed some Hollywood big shot comes in and discovers me!!
Ahahaha. Nice. I think when LD starts writing scripts he'll have a character posting on a forum about his dreams and getting shut down by a message board. Then he blows up and the whole story is wacky and funny based on his life a la Superbad/Seth Rogen. Then hopefully LD can one day be overrated and have people lining up for his scripts or to have him play a role in some film.
Since we're talking about life goals/dreams...My TRUE TRUE aspiration is to be a sports agent. I have some connections and this summer I should be interning at for the national team. I made a big proposal to the school and I have my own sports and business student group where I'm actually going to be bringing in a few athletes (Why I made my other thread) but the more I bring in the more I can wheel in others too. One day I'm going to own my own corporation and realistically I can picture myself living a steady life. Maybe not millions, but I hope by the time I'm 35 I will be making 6 figures and before that I would be able to survive. I don't mind, I like the adventure. My biggest issue right now is that I have such a comfortable life, makes things too easy. Need that sense of urgency...how am I going to pay my rent? My credit? Do I really need food today?
One post you're like 'LOJ is awesome' ... another you're like 'fu*k LOJ'
Come on mang... you flip the script more than a bit*h on tha rag. Make up your mind before I rape it.
look here posterior circus performer (Ass Clown), you couldn't mind rape me if you were Pete's Montreux with a fist full of roofies and I was a drunken sorority girl looking to get laid.
Hell e-ga, you couldn't even mind sexually harass me. Your posting game has gotten soft, I call em like I see em, I am like Colin Cowherd, I don't support yesterday's heroes, Ass Dan is down for the now yo!
Standard federal retirement and health insurance. Thirty percent off all Smithsonian gift shops. Free entry at most museums throughout the world. I think we have a bunch of discounts with Dell, Microsoft, Verizon, and other corporate partners. Start off with 24 paid vacation days a year plus Federal holidays. Free enrollment for countless special classes offered by all Smithsonian units, and access to behind the scenes tours of places like the National Zoo or Natural History Museum. Oh, and we get reimbursed for daily metro fair to and from work.
I have the opportunity to work from home, 3 day weekends, I get off most holidays, no busy season, don't work more than 40 hours a week, 2-3 weeks of vacation a year (I can take them all at once if I like).......shitty pay though lol (well for my standards.)
I work for a consulting firm here in NYC, although my job isn't consultant per se (I don't travel 4 days a week). I do the work that the consultants pull in here at the company headquarters.
However, the perks aren't anything to brag about. Usually I'll get at least 2-3 free meals a week based on meetings or events. The biggest perk is probably subsidized gym memberships. The gym I go to right now normally costs $100 a month which isn't out of the norm for NYC, but I'm paying around $30. Of course a while back when I lived outside the city I could pay like 10 bucks a month for a comparable gym.
