Might as well put me in there....are we doing it on yahoo again? It gave me problems last season because of my Rogers account and security and I couldn't switch my players, make trades, etc.
2. Keeper 'cost' in year 2 based on draft round value of player in previous season
3. If you keep a player for a second time (into 3rd year of ownership), 'cost' goes up by 50%, rounded up. Example, Draft Jamison in round 5 this year. Next year, you can keep him at round 5 again. In year 3, he will 'cost' you round 3 (2.5 rounded up).
4. If you acquire a player who is a keeper, you get the round grace period of the previous GM. Example, if you trade for Jamison in year 3, you'd get to keep him with a 5th round pick instead of having the cost go up.
5. You CAN keep two players from the same round. One player will use one round higher's slot.
6. You can KEEP a first round pick 2 times, before they are cut loose. This means if you draft LBJ, you get him this year, next year, and then also a third year.
7. Waivers (non drafted) are kept using the 11th round.
Here are LAST years keeper picks:

Please note the rule change that we can now keep two guys from the same round. In addition, I posted the list of last years keepers. Guys on that list are the ONLY players the majority of the rules apply to. If you acquired a guy on that list, you get them at the round specified. If you still own a guy on that list (me with Durant), then the 50% rule kicks in. Please note if you have kept a 1st rounder twice already (key word is KEPT - not drafted once and then kept once). If you have (like me with Kobe), then you cannot keep them and they are FAs.
Finally, I would like to make a pretty significant rule change, but it wouldn't kick in until next year. I have brought this up before but will do so again.
I think we should do away with the rule that if you trade for a guy, then their round value transfers over without the 50% rule. I think that everyone on the keeper list should just have the 50% rule regardless of if they are traded. In theory you could have a guy like Brook Lopez as a 12th rounder for like 5 years if he keeps getting moved. I don't think that makes sense. This way there is more turnover in the FA pool. Thoughts? We wouldn't do it this year, but it would kick in for next years draft.
League has been created and I think emails sent out. Some of you do not have emails on your profile for the pool. It would make it easier if you did.
I agree with your new proposed rule change as well.
And just to clarify, only if you KEEP a player TWICE does his value go up 50%?
And you can keep a first round pick twice, but then he's gone. Eh?!
Yes under the old (current) rules, if YOU keep a player twice (not including the year you draft him) then then 50% rule kicks in. If you keep a 1st rounder twice, since they can't go up in round value they are released into the FA pool.
If you go to yahoo sports, and you can get to your profile you should be able to go back into your past leagues. That will allow you to look at your roster as well as the draft results to figure things out.

Are you going to put up the draft rounds in the new league so we can pick our keepers? Sorry I`m having a hard time with this.
How sick would my team have been in 2003? I guess that`s why I did so poorly..
