Lolz Poodle is a real troll I think wether Pride/UFC/Bellator/Strikeforce real MMA fan's can agree on somethings
Fedor- I s really a very good heavy weight no matter how his career has gone and has cemented his legacy
Brock - is still green but learns fast and has the physical tools to dominate
Anderson - Is in a league of his own when it comes to striking/ he might have a sub par division but he's still a cut above everyone there.
GSP- Boring for whatever reason hiss MMA wrestling is top notch and hasnt lost his belt in a couple of years.
Overeem - people say he got owned by Chuck, Shogun back in pride but that was pre bulk up years before he became a massive specimen of a fighter, and he's always been a good striker due to his dutch background.
So however we spin it we wouldnt be talking about these fighters if they werent good.
lmao you just said i don't know what i'm talking about then agreed i was right about Pride events, making excuses as usual
i don't know why a lot of you know it alls keep refusing to make logical points, tell me i'm clueless, then give in i'm right, even if you try to make some excuse as dumb as "azn's don't cheer", then pretend it makes for a better atmosphere
Be honest, are you nothing more than a troll or are you an ignorant retard who doesn't let the fact he has very little understanding of the subject stop him from arguing? It's cute that you think you make logical points, but it's just not reality.

He didn't get owned by Shogun, he was winning both fights until he gassed. One of his problems back then was that the weight cut took a hit on his stamina and he couldn't go very long.
Nah. Maybe. But it's pretty good nonetheless. I listed him for a reason. I just don't think "elite grappler" when I think of him. But I do think "pretty good grappler". So I listed him.

True. But any submission loss to Forrest Griffin is embarrassing. He doesn't have a great ground game and the Shogun sub was, let's face it, 99% due to Shogun being gassed and out of shape. I'm not making excuses for Shogun. He got in the cage to win and he failed. But that Forrest wouldn't submit this Shogun. That's the worst we've ever seen Shogun. Hopefully the worst we ever will see him. Don't get be wrong, Forrest took it to him. He put a nice beating on him before the sub and that surely factored into, but Shogun wasn't subbed because Forrest outfoxed him on the ground. Shogun just had nothing left.
I think Babalu is a pretty damn good grappler. He's won a number of fights and they weren't really due to his striking. He went to a decision with Fedor and in an org that restricted striking, has a sub win over Shogun, and he's either beaten or gone to a decision against some HWs with wrestling backgrounds.

I always like Babalu, but his standup is average, and same with the BJJ, I think his win over Shogun was also when Shogun was very green not sure if it was Shogun's 1st fight.

When I think of Babalu, I think of vale tudo. Not necessarily striking or grappler, though he is good in both areas. I think he's just a very well-rounded fighter.
