All those X year old McDonald's blog posts are pretty skeptical. Read through the comments of basically any of them and you'll see plenty of valid questions raised.

At least it gets the f*cking message across to the higher ups in the organization. There is no need to enforce strict menus for breakfast and the rest of the day. They would be rolling in more dough if they served particular items all day long, such as McGriddles and chicken nuggets.

So what does that make every other fast food restaurant without similar menu restrictions? Dumb? McDonalds has every product in their stores at the same time. It doesn't make sense to prepare certain products for certain time periods when they are only minimizing their profit potential.

Well in my experience, both Burger King and Harveys follow the same business model. I'm not familiar with all the american chains, but i'd say the big players seem to conform to these norms.
