The Hornets didn't stop there. NBA front office sources told ESPN.com's Marc Stein that in a separate deal, the team agreed to send swingman Julian Wright to Toronto for Raptors guard Marco Belinelli. That deal, like the four-team trade, was also expected to be completed Wednesday.
yeah, I saw this on espn embedded in the other trade story. Meh. I guess it gives them a 2 guard to go along with ariza on the wings, but meh nonetheless.
Why does Toronto do this deal? Aren't they both on rookie contracts? Both third year players? Wright makes a bit less but come on, Belinelli is shooting almost 40% on threes for his career.

I guess they think derozan and weem are better suited at the 2 (as was marco). Wright gives them more length.
I'm excited. This might mean that Belinelli actually gets a chance to show his stuff. Come on now! He's lean, long, pretty quick for his height and he can shoot the lights out. He never gets playing time, so he never gets consistent confidence to back his game up.
He might be weak defensively, but he's better than Peja at this point.
Belinelli is a great player when he's on, not a good defender but a good overall offensive player. He never had the chance of play heavy minutes though. I hope he can be at least part of the NO rotation.
