Default So will James Posey get waived/bought out?

Think chances are it's possible, could he go back to either Boston or Miami?

Pretty sure Boston is at it's max amount of guys, and I know for a fact that Miami is maxxed on guys.

As a pacers fan, I honestly hope not. A guy with swag, and most importantly, CHAMPIONSHIP experience is good for our young core. Namely swingmen like Rush, Paul G, and even Lance Stevenson and Danny G.

Really want to keep Pose.

Why would the Pacers waive the guy? He has a lot of money left on his contract.. might as well use his services since he's still a solid role player.

The Pacers will be in the mix from the 6th to 8th seed so having a legit proven vet who can instill some hardness into the team and help them at the their run for the lower playoffs seed cant do any harm.

We waived Sheed so we have 1 spot left.

He has this season and next season on his contract. I think Indiana should hold onto him for the time being, see what his feelings are towards the team or not. He might thrive being 'the' veteran guy on the team and helping out the young guys. I don't know how badly he wants to win now considering he's already got 2 rings. If he got bought out and was looking for another team, I doubt he'd get any offer close to the contract he's on now. Maybe he'd get part of MLE money, but not the $6.5 million and close to $7 mill that he'll earn this season and next respectively. Not considering he'll be 34 in January 2011.

Why do people think teams will waive guys left and right? Why would Pacers waive him? Why can't they just keep him?

Celtics have 1 spot left but I am lukewarm at best at bringing Posey back. He isn't what he was in '08.

That and he could be a solid trading chip down the line during the latter part of the season, if the Spacers want to take on a bigger contract from a star player.

if we keep him, we don't sign Magnum Rolle. Posey is a proven defensive player and can hit outside. i personally like him.

Posey is the type of player who has no desire and heart when placed into a losing situation. Put him on one of the top teams in the league and then he'll get his butt into shape.

this. Unless he takes a buyout that significantly saves them money (and why would he?), then no way.
