he looked decent friday, but I saw a couple throws where his receiver was covered and he threw it anyway... he wont survive here if he does too much of that...
I did mention those, said he locked on to receivers from the snap on 2 of his throws which he can't do. That Celek pass wasn't a bad throw at all. Whether it was double coverage or not it was put right in Celek's hands and he bobbled it.

you are right... it was a great throw... but throwing into double coverage will hurt us more than not...

im looking forward to the season.... the line needs to run block a bit better and reid needs to use the run game as kolb's friend... we are doomed if andy thinks he is gonna throw it as much as he did when mcnabb was here..

They had 9 run plays compared to 11 pass plays as far as the first team goes. 10 run plays if you count the DeSean Jackson end-around. That's a ratio I'm very unfamiliar with.

Reid's tendency is to throw the ball like he's playing catch up even in situations when it's early or a tie game or whatever, situations where mixing in run is still the norm. I'd like to think we'll run more but it may be wishful thinking. Jason Peters can be a great run blocker but McCoy seems more comfortable running between the tackles and to the right.

Just wanted to check in as a very hopeful Browns fan. For those of you that didn't see our first preseason game (a last second 'win' over Green Bay), the offense looked incredible with the new weapons and with Delhomme at the helm.

We scored touchdowns our three of our first four possessions, I believe.

The line looked absolutely incredible. Word out of Berea is that Alex Mack is turning into a Pro Bowl caliber center in front of Mangini's eyes (the same guy who brought Mangold along).

It certainly showed against the Pack... He was pushing BJ Raji all over the field and there were GAPING holes for Jerome Harrison -- who looks as explosive as he did at the end of last year.

With Joe Thomas and Eric Steinbach next to him, I believe we have the best line in the division.

Add to that the fact that our No. 2 back (rookie Montario Hardesty) has been out and things are looking nice. We didn't even run any Wildcat the other night and, with Senaca Wallace and Josh Cribbs both on the field at the same time, the running game could be scary good.

I'm not predicting anything outlandish this season. I would be very happy with 7-8 wins. However, the future is very bright.

Oh... And rookie safety T.J. Ward out of Oregon is a complete beast. Talk about a ball-hawk. He has 'it'... Whatever it is, he has it.

How about CJ Spiller with the 31-yard touchdown run about two minutes into the game? He looks legit.

Colts o-line gets worse by the game it seems. Guys are out and there's no real starting group yet, but it seriously looks ugly. The run game's going to be awful again.

CJ Spiller is a lot better than I anticipated, at least based on tonight. Thought he was just a scat back type that'd go down more often than not on first contact. Didn't seem to shy away from hits at all and broke his share, and he's FAST. Buffalo needs to get him the ball as much as possible.

Colts may've finally found a return man in Devin Moore. 2 punt returns for 49 yards, 4 kickoffs for 129. One of the punts woulda gone to the house if friggin Brian Moorman didn't catch him on the sideline. An Indy offense starting a few drives a game from somewhere closer than the 25 is a nice thing to think about. He's an Indianapolis kid too, gotta love that.

Wasn't his fault, wasn't anyone's really. Slant went off a laid out Gonzalez's fingertips and Terrence McGee pulled it off his shoelaces and was off to the races. Just a good defensive play.

I'll focus on the defensive side of the football for the Titans. The first string defense did a good job and they didn't seem to miss the 3-4 starters who were out for the first pre season game. First and foremost Stephen Tulloch was active and all over the field. The young corners were surprisingly good except for Mouton who was erratic as usual, but it was encouraging that the secondary didn't get burnt without Finnegan. The defensive line looked improved and was getting pressure on the qb and this was with out 3 of the usual starters and a key rotational lineman, so that is another reassuring point although it only being preseason.

-Palmer and the offense look good, though we haven't really seen a lot of balls thrown Ocho's way yet.

-Offensive line has played well

-First team defense has looked a little shaky

-kicking game an issue at the moment

You'll look horrible tonight.

Tonight I'm keeping my eye on these guys:

Kurt Coleman
Jordan Shipley
Ellis Hobbs/Asante (if he plays) matched up with Ocho/Owens
Chad Hall

Hah, love the preseason smack talk

Sadly, I have to miss the game, but I'm sure I'll check out one of the 908452 replays on the NFL network.
