Default Favre has landed in 'sota

Well....are you ready for Favre-fest 2010? ESPN jumped on this story as soon as Favre got on a plane headed for Minnesota and that's all ESPN has talked about for the last 2 hours.

He just landed on the ground in Minnesota. Reports and speculation are that he's back.

Here we go again......

He's just taking an extended vacation... this is what he does to avoid training camp.

He probably has his calender circled for September 1st for when he announces he will be back for one more year.

Good for Favre.. I don't understand the hate about Favre, you guys obviously take it personally when he comes back. "OMG wwhy is he coming back, asshole!" You shouldn't care, if he wants to come back he can come back.. He's earned the right to do whatever the **** he wants..

It has absolutely nothing to do with him coming back or not coming back. It's the fact that this is like the 4th year in a row where we-as football fans-have had to see overkill on coverage of whether or not he is going to return; along with the fact that his decision is dragged on into mid to late August. I couldn't care any less if Favre plays or doesn't play. I'm just sick of one player being the main focal point of every offseason.

Biggest attention whore in sports history. Guy is a lame and the sportsmedia covering him are lame too. He avoided training camp which he hates. And now the upcoming football season revolves around this idiot and not the other teams/players. Thats the problem fans have to deal with. No one wants to see this is Favres last season hoorah again. Gone thru it how many times? How many times does he have to dominate NFL news? Overkill and tiresome. New season, new stories with new players and yet Brett tops all.

He said today this will be his last season. Until this time next year.

31 (other teams) x 53 (man roster) + 52 (other players on the Vikings) = 1,695 other NFL players in the league not named Brett Favre.

For the 4th (or is it 5th) straight year the NFL media attention will focus on Brett Favre all because he dragged out his announcement to return-again-into mid-August. Honestly, a very tiny part of me won't be completely upset if there's a lockout next year solely because we won't have to put with Brett Favre watch 2011.

I agree, to an extent, KG215. But Favre brings it on himself too. He could just say "I'm an old man, and I don't know if I could make it through all of training camp and then have enough to get through the season." or something similar like that.

But no. He keeps us guessing and he helps create the bs that the media stirs.

He also keeps a franchise hostage by this antics. He's the same dude who criticized a teammate for holding out. Yet this dude cant make up his mind and leaves a team in the dark. Thats why GB decided to move on and Brett has the nerve to get butt hurt. Dude can play the retirement game to miss all the stuff mostly every player has to go thru leading up to Week 1. And thats cool because its Brett. Its lame.

Percy Harvin collapsed today at practice. Such a shame. All that talent and explosiveness but he can't stay on the field b/c of all those migraines he consistently has. Hope he can find a way to get over them, but he's suffered from them his whole life

There already reports of an anonymous teammate telling a reporter that Brett said he didn't want to return because he think Childress is incompetent coaching offense and had no faith in him. Let the drama begin.

Bullshit the vikings are praying he comes back. If Minny felt hostages then that's pathetic for a pro team putting all their faith in one man. If minny said make a deadline by X date I'm sure Favre wouldn't have came back. It's not his fault that everyone blows the story up to biblical proportions.

If Minny made a deadline Brett would come back to play for another team. Why do you even think he is in Minnesota? To stick it to GB. Thats why he left that 1yr stint in NY because GB made it where he couldnt sign with Minny after that drama went down. And Brett was all but retired back in GB yet he is playing for the J-E-T-S, Jets Jets Jets? So f*ck outta here with giving Brett a deadline then thinking that would really make him decide to retire.

Retire, play, do whatever you wanna do, but this whole soap opera is real old, and I really like Favre as a player, but he's in danger of making this whole charade his final legacy.
