LMU/Cal, Great Alaska Shootout Final

Man, this tourney used to be great. It's fallen by the wayside.

But ever since I started watching this game these two teams have been flinging threes at each other left and right, and I like Cal's frontcourt already. Their 6'10" freshman, Ryan Anderson, looks like a terrific scorer/shooter. Averaging 21 ppg and making 48% of his threes so far. Their center, Hardin, looks like a freakin' horse. I've never heard of him before. And their little point guard Jerome Randle is a Chicago kid. I like this Cal team; I think they'll make the tourney.

I gotta say, Hardin is one of the most physically impressive big men I've seen so far this year.

Yeah he is, but what happened??? The game was close in the first half and now it seems like a one-sided game.

Well, usually when that happens, it's because one team starts scoring far more frequently than the other team, whereas previously they were scoring at a relatively even pace.

In other words, I don't know. I didn't watch the second half.

Cal hasn't impressed me to much at all this year, Marshall was suppose to win that game if daryl merthie would have finished some layups of the steal attemps.
