Default Surprse Team?

Which team do you all think will be the biggest surprise and make the playoffs this season? I might be biased but I'm going with the Redskins

I think the 49ers have a lot to give, they will make the playoffs based on their division, but i think they may go further if everyone stays healthy

I think this year's surprise team could be the Raiders. Finally got rid of Russell and replaced him with Campbell. On top of that, the AFC West is weak and the Chargers are gonna fall off.

I think by surprise team you have to be someone who no one considers a playoff team right now. The Skins are being thrown around as an 8-8 team so playoffs wouldn't be crazy and the 49ers should easily win their division.

I think to choose a "surprise team" you'd have to pick from this pool...

Seahawks
Chiefs
Bills
Bucs
Panthers
Lions
Rams
Browns
Jaguars
Raiders
Broncos

And I'm going to say the Seahawks will contend for that division with SF. And this is with hope that they stay healthy. But they have a lot of talent on that team that goes unnoticed because they seem to be always hurt. Matt Hasselbeck and Mike Williams have looked very good together in the preseason, Forsett is a nice multi-dimensional back, Okung should hold down the left side if his ankle sprain is good, Earl Thomas has looked great including an 86 yard INT TD return in the preseason.

Games missed:

Hasselbeck: 2
Burleson: 3
Branch: 2
Tatupu: 11
Trufant: 6
Curry: 2
J. Wilson: 4
Hill: 5

If they're healthy they've got the talent to do well in that division.

Among that team, they're three that I think can really shock me. One is the Panthers who can never be counted out. Matt Moore was a beast last season. Then, the Lions. Yeah the Lions. hahah Stafford was one of my favorite QBs to ever come out of college. He's my prototypical QB and with the weapons he has, can do some damage. Last, the Bucs can do well. They got a lot of young talent and Freeman is a nice youngster but they play in a real tough division (same with Lions). Overally, I guess the Panthers got the best chance to shock.

The Seahawks are rather likely going to suck, so that would be a really big surprise if they make the playoffs.

I haven't seen them play in the preseason, but what I've read about them points to them not doing very well.
