Solid card no huge names but solid names. That bader vs nog fight could be one hell of a fight.Mir vs Crop cop could go a number of ways depending on how each fighter comes out.
That was before Lesnar knew what he was doing in UFC, and Mir was getting pounded until he lucked out by Lesnar leaving himself open to a submission. The physical dominance of Lesnar was on display before he got caught offguard in the first fight. In the second fight there was no such mistake and as a consequence it was an uncompetitive ass-kicking. Mir can't compete with that strength, they might as well be in two different weight classes. His only hope is for Lesnar to make a mistake like he made in the first fight, but as Lesnar grows more experienced he makes fewer such errors. They fight again, you know Lesnar and his trainers will make sure submission defense is solid because that's Mir's only chance.
Mir's best shot in a rubber is drilling enough wrestling to stuff Lesnar's takedowns and keep it standing. Brock got his second takedown, which led to the end of the fight, because Mir threw that jumping knee.
And Brock had an awful lot of trouble taking down Carwin and Couture. Not 100% sold on his MMA takedowns yet.
But Mir's wrestling has always sucked.
I got Mir-Bader-Dunham-Guillard. Serra vs Lytle is a complete pick em for me, no idea who wins that.
Mir CAN beat Lesnar on the ground, but Lesnar has smartened up over the past couple of years to never allow himself to get caught like that again. Mir is the one who has to adjust now. Face it, Lesnar took the beating of his life against Carwin and still had the stamina to come out on top. I'm afraid there's no one that can touch him right now. Not Mir, not Carwin, not Velasquez, not Cro Cop, maybe Dos Santos, but that's about it.
As for this fight, I like both guys equally, however I have a feeling Cro Cop is going to continue his little winning streak.
