i don't blame NE much. Brady would be fine with a lot of other receivers imo and Moss is pretty soft these days.
That happened after Week 1's game vs Bengals. Moss said he just wanted to get off his chest so it wouldn't be a distraction in the middle of the season.

If he's gone, Pats' the long pass plays will be hurt but that's about it really. They can always go back to those screen passes and the short passes they did between '01-'06.

Moss leaving is devastating for Welker. He's gonna be triple teamed since he doesn't have the speed to get open like a #1 wide-out usually has. Who the f*ck is Brady gonna throw to? Two rookie tight ends?

Every year it gets harder to be a Pats fan. Years ago it was wonderful, we had this earnest, kind of no-name team that somehow won a SuperBowl after the team's "star" went down. Brady was a revelation, Belicheck was suddenly a genius, and the defense was awesome. But it seems like we've been bleeding off talent ever since that first win. Milloy, Law, Vinatieri, Samuel, Seymour...so many of the players that made this team great are gone and in many cases it's because the FO just doesn't want to pay. All of the credit is heaped on Brady and Belicheck. And really, they're both great, I have faith in them too, but it's like they're making stone soup out there, you can't just just constantly leak talent and remain elite. I seriously have no idea how this team is going to win a Championship this year or in the near future and suspect that management is content to ride the popularity built on past success to continued profitability with no concern for winning.

It's like, after years of beating up on the Colts with our tough d we became them (all offense, weak d) and now we're not even going to have that any more if they trade Moss. I like Wes Welker a lot but if your offense is being carried by a possession receiver your offense stinks. I was never a big fan of Moss, he is a quitter, but if you're going to have him on your team you should keep him happy so that he keeps on lighting up the score board. Give him another two years at elite receiver money so that you get your money's worth out of Tom Brady and the offense you're forced to desperately rely on. I swear Patrick Chung is the only impact defensive player they've bought on in years. This is frustrating. I feel like I can't talk shit about Manning any more because I know if/when he sees the Pats he'll eat our weak secondary alive. And I used to love to trash Peyton after his "soft dome team" (my favorite way to describe them) got crushed in the snow again.

I'd love to know the team's plan to get back to the SB, because right now I don't think there is one. IMO the FO is content to let NJ take the division and isn't upset that Pittsburgh may end up being the real Dynasty of the era. Oh well.

They're gonna trade him for Gerhart and Camarillo and run the White Out Offense.

It seemed like for a few years, Moss played the role of "good soldier" and I thought he was a changed person, but a few things here/there lately make me think otherwise.

If he can't be happy in a place like New England, with freakin' Tom Brady as his QB, where can he be happy at?

Anywhere he gets paid. His issues aren't with the offense, his role, or Brady. His issue is that his contract ends this year and the Pats showed no interest in extending him. If the Pats gave him an extension none of this would be going on.

Brandon Tate will take Moss's place. i'd like to see him get more looks, he definitely has the speed and big play ability.

Wes Welker will be exposed, as an average receiver if Moss is traded. Brady's stats will go way down too.
