I can't stand it! They always get you pumped up for the season, and then they start messing everything up. First off, they lose to the CLEVELAND BROWNS! The damn Browns! Are you serious? They always just let wins go by. Especially today against the Bucs. They had the lead at the start of the 4th. Had the total control over the game, and then Palmer throws 2 picks! Are you kidding me?! It all started with the whole Batman and Robin thing which has been really annoying. I don't even see my Bengals making the Play-offs. They have a very tough schedule with future games against the Saints, Jets, Chargers and Steelers. What do you guys think about the Cincinnati Bengals?
Ya'll had control late, but we dominated a good part of the game. We had three HUGE turnovers. Two that were inside the 10 yard line early in the game when we could've gone up 21-7, and the fumble by Spurlock on the kick return (that shouldn't have been reviewable b/c they blew the play dead, but whatever) that set ya'll up for an easy TD.
But yes...Cincy is a very disappointing team. All talk and no results. Carson Palmer doesn't look very good. Yeah, TO and Caldwell had a couple of key drops on 3rd down, but he also missed a number of throws.
If the Bengals were smart, they would've given Benson 35 carries. We couldn't stop him all day long. Thankfully ya'll were intent on passing the ball.
I doubt it because this is pretty much his last stop. He doesn't have many options as he did 4-5 years ago. He'll be smart enough to stay on his best behavior and let someone else take the fall. He knows that his numbers so far are speaking for itself and he'll take very little of the blame just as long as he keeps his mouth shut.
Last thing TO is going to do is start popping off at the mouth and make himself an easy scapegoat.
yeah i watched a lot of this game. Benson was tearing them up.
if TO starts complaining it would be a blessing to that organization. everyone apologizes for Palmer like its always the teams fault, when Palmer has been inconsistent for a long time now. he still probably gives them the best chance to win but i definitely wouldn't trust him like Lewis and the organization seems to, where they're in denial about his game these days.
still tho, even last year they weren't ever a really good team more than squeaking out wins with last second drives/luck, while they think they're better than they are with their expectations this year. Marvin Lewis always acts like if they win there's no problems when its obvious a lot of their wins don't show a dominating, good team, more than a team under performing to potential consistently.
