Default Moss will play 17 gms this year. What if he were to break any of the season records?

Hypothetically, if he were to break any of the single season records such as TDs, receiving yards or receptions, would those records count? He's not going to break anything, but what if he did?

This is an extreme HYPOTHETICAL question.....but if he broke any record, of course they'd stand.

What would they do? He played the games his team were scheduled. No one can help it that he got traded to a team that's already had a bye and he hadn't yet.

I'd say if this happened and someone happened to break a record, then it'd stand.

They may stand, but they would make a major issue out of it a lot like they did Roger Maris and he wouldn't get the recognition for it

He already has the record for TD's, doesn't he?

Yup, and he got that record by breaking one Rice set in 14 games. Records are always recognized, regardless of how fair they may be to the guy that had the record before.

But here's a potential controversy: What if, say, TO has the lead with 16 TDs, Moss has 15 in game 16, and then gets two more in game 17?

Well if he was on track to set records he probably wouldn't get traded in the first place..

No records, but there were going to be plenty of Touchdowns. Oh well.

Moss' debut: 4 rec, 81 yds, 1 TD.

Keeping pace. 51 TDs in last 52 games now. I say he evens it at 53/53 next week against Dallas in controlled environment and another week of practice with the offense.

Damn near looked like he was gonna get shutout. but nope.. Beautiful 37 yarder for Favre's 500th sparked that offense.. Peterson got rolling, Harvin was searing, just too late.
