Yea, definetly saw A Scanner Darkly. Great film. Trippy, especially the end. I was excited when I found out Fast Food nation was a linklater film. I expect that I'll watch it anyways even if its not getting rave reviews.

You gotta see The Fountain, Darren Aronofsky's new film, definetly worth the money.

HAve you seen Arlington Road? That's a fabulous movie.

The Saint of Fort Washington, and the War of the Roses are also very good ones.

And what sort of film student are you if you haven't seen Nosferatu?

I assume this is targed to me. I will. Its not out yet in the UK for a bit. I'll probably watch it when I go back.

Has anyone watched Pan's Labryinth? I watched that the other day... very well done fairy tale, but still quite disturbing.

I've Seen Nosferatu and Arlington Road, haven't seen the Saint or War of Roses, but that's two more for my list.

As for Nosferatu, I respect it, but I really can't cite a pre-great depression movie as an influence, I hate to say it, I really do...but it was too old for me, 1922.

I saw it at the local indie theater. didnt really like it. it was too subtle. and it wasn't exactly clever.. just weak.

pretty educational though... if you didn't already know all that stuff. but the problem is yo have to really pay attention cause the movie's real knockouts are presented sort of behind the plot.

I have Ocean's 11, never saw 12.
don't. it'll just make 11 seem worse than it was. 12 was brutally bad. some funny dialogue but it was so half assed.

If you wanna be a good filmmaker you need to watch more foreign films.

Check out some Robert Bresson or Pedro Almodovar. Two of my faves.

Wow, how could I forget Sergio Leone with Once Upon A Time In The West and The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.

If you're talking about A Scanner Darkly... well I guess I shoudln't assume too much from someone who needs things thrown in their face when watching films such as V for Vendetta.

Also the 3 Jurrasic Parks along with The New World, not the best film but it was beautiful.

That's what happens when Terrence Malick makes a film so soon after the last one. It's crappy.

He needs to have at least 20 years between films.
