Itachi is already one of the strongest, and most hax character in the Naruto universe? Izanami aka the De ja Vu Jutsu is one of the coolest techniques in Manga History.

Let's see if Kabuto escapes from this jutsu.

Someone finally subed the Beserk Movie. Although based on the screenshots I've seen I'm not sure I want to watch it, ton of CG used.

ALSO who watches One Piece-Im up to like episode 37, still it's only average, not as epic as everyone is saying.

Naruto I think did character development better, and One piece seems to childish.

Then again I cant even read Naruto anymore, I think I just have an emotional connection to it for nostalgia purposes

Does one piece get good or is it only good if you have a nostalgic attachment to it?
yes it does get a lot more exciting, only people who would say it doesn't are the naruto fanboys. it also gets much more mature and the animation improves quite a bit too. overall great plot with lots of comedy and very few plot holes.

Can someone recommend a good hardboiled/crime/detective manga? My searches on my own have come up empty.

you my friend are wrong, characters increasing in strength does not decide whether a manga is good or bad, things like good plot, interesting fight scenes, no ass-pulls, and lack of plot holes make a manga good and naruto is full of plot holes and a shit ton of asspulls especially with the sharingan b.s.

Yes, in the dramas you often see slam dunk mentioned, or a female character will read it. it's really popular among women of my wife's generation. She personally loves it, we have every volume.

Recently started watching Legend of the Galactic Heroes. One of those shows that gets a ton of praise that I hadn't seen yet, so I finally decided to give it a go. Glad I did too, I'm really enjoying it so far.

As far as this season goes, the only show that I'm really following is Hyouka.

I think the only one that I've seen that sort of fits that description is Full Metal Panic. I don't really watch a ton of mecha to be honest.

Niconico has a live stream for Anime expo this weekend.

I don't know why I find these streams so entertaining.
